About me

I have always been drawn to art forms produced in metal and find a direct link between my own personality and the stubborn nature of this particular medium. My first introduction into the metal arts was in high school where I found myself (per usual) the only female in the school shop classes year after year. There, I learned the basics of welding and had dreams of learning blacksmithing. I was very much a tomboy that loved wrenching on my dirt bike and figured I would grow up to be a mechanic.

Fast forward ten years to 2016 when I moved to Boulder, Colorado to work on a farm. There, I took my very first metal smithing class. I was hooked right away and proceeded to take the Jewelry Technician Intensive program through the Revere Academy in San Francisco the following fall. The program was led by Alan Revere and a small handful of amazing jewelers. I have a deep appreciation for precision and problem solving from the two months I spent there (if you know, you know). After I completed that program, I moved to Bend, Oregon to start my very first job in the jewelry trade. I am now back in my home town and trying my hand at owning and running my own tiny business.

I currently live in Reno, Nevada with my wife and our little dog Ike. I spend most of my days in the studio or walking the neighborhood. I love going on adventures and roadtrips, exploring, and all things artsy. Much of my motivation to live deeply and create originates from a desire to manifest beauty after experiencing grief and loss. I have so much gratitude for the journey and all of the gifts life has presented me with, big and small. It’s a privilege to wake up everyday and pursue my dreams. My home is full of ridiculous amounts of laughter, reflection, and growth. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thank you for being here to learn about me and my craft. I consider myself very lucky to be someone that is doing exactly what they were meant to in this life.
